The Katy House Bed & Breakfast is located in the heart of downtown Smithville. This historical turn-of-the-century home has been lovingly restored to its original beauty while integrating modern comforts and French country furnishings complimented by soft, restful colors.

As a traditional bed & breakfast, The Katy House has been serving guests from around the world for 27 years. We have six spacious and well-appointed guest rooms featuring private baths, soft linens, and a complimentary southern-style breakfast. It’s our hope that every detail and special touch found throughout the property creates an unforgettable guest experience. We're an easy drive from some of the smallest (and biggest) cities in Texas. Our quaint, small town of Smithville is perfect for a day trip visit, but if you decide to plan an evening getaway then we hope you give us a try!

Located in the heart of downtown guests can walk (or stroll) to Smithville's best restaurants & bars, boutiques & antique stores. FUN FACT: Smithville is the home to movie 'Hope Floats' featuring Sandra Bullock & Harry Connick Jr.

Serving guests from all over the world for 28 years, this historic Bed & Breakfast offers six individual bedrooms and private baths with a number of luxurious amenities. All six guest rooms are spread across the property in both the main house and separate cottages. In the main house, three rooms, all with private baths, can be reserved, and are each named after the Katy passenger trains: the Bluebonnet, Katy Limited and the Texas Special. Only steps away from the back porch of the main house, three private cottages are tucked away for the utmost guest privacy: the Garden Cottage, Conductor's Quarters Cottage and the Katy Tower Cottage.
