Led by JB and Jamie-Len Royer, the team at Royers Round Top Cafe is all about love, customer service and lasting relationships! Upon walking through the doors of the funky, iconic establishment in Round Top, the menu will surprise you. Instead of the ‘typical’ small town country fare, you’ll find “A Texas Country Bistro Serving Gourmet Comfort Food”. From center-cut filet and tasty fish entrees, to an extensive wine list that has every palate covered, you’ll wrap up your meal with world-class pie for dessert and leave full…body and soul!
Although Round Top is a town of only 77 people, about an hour’s drive from both Austin and Houston, word of mouth has traveled far. The story of this iconic Texas bistro has drawn the attention of many regional and national publications. This small eatery has literally embodied “word of mouth” marketing and continues to live up to the phrase “Big Taste. Tiny Town.” Royers ships pies to virtually every state across the country throughout the year, and by the thousands during the holiday season!
In addition to the Cafe experience, Royers offers catering for events (large and small) *almost anywhere, and you can even have JB and Jamie come cook in your home!
HISTORY
Bud “The Pieman” Royer, the funky founding father of Roeyrs Round Top Cafe, and Royers Mail Order Pies, along with his late wife, Dr. Karen, and their four children, moved to Round Top in 1987 to take over the tiny 40-seat Round Top Cafe. With no culinary training or kitchen experience, Bud and his family built and marketed the cafe into the well-recognized Texas institution it is today.
